Community Builders Fellowship

At the start, students discover a range of community-focused projects—from STEM initiatives to arts engagement and civic improvement. During this introduction, students work with our Executive Director to select a project that aligns with their interests and community goals, setting the stage for a meaningful journey.

Students conduct research and gather insights to pinpoint the community need they’ll address. Through surveys, interviews, and resource analysis, they develop a clear understanding of the issue at hand, ensuring their efforts respond to genuine local challenges.

With their project focus determined, students map out objectives, outline resources, and establish a clear timeline. Guided by mentors, they craft a strategic plan that balances ambition and feasibility, laying a solid foundation for successful implementation.

Over these three weeks, participants put their plans into action. They learn to coordinate tasks, manage resources, and adapt to real-world obstacles. By collaborating with peers, seeking feedback, and staying flexible, students gain hands-on experience that transforms vision into tangible impact.

As the end approaches, students fine-tune their projects, finalize deliverables, and practice their presentations. This phase focuses on quality and effectiveness, ensuring their work truly benefits the community and resonates with their audience.

The journey culminates in a presentation event where students showcase their projects’ outcomes to peers, local leaders, and community members. It’s a moment of pride and reflection—celebrating achievements, recognizing growth, and inspiring others to take part in the transformative power of service.
