The internet and social media are powerful tools to communicate our ideas nationally and globally to one another.
However, sometimes these mediums become rooted in polarizing ideas that numb our ability to connect and blind us to our collective humanity.
The studio is a space where middle and high school students can use face to face meetings to build their sense of belonging and purpose.

This system is built for students who want to make a creative and collective change,

This program is designed to have teams coordinate a long term service learning project
using their unique gifts and skills.
BrainRain
Sessions devoted to thinking critically about ways to implement desired change agents
Problem Solving Strategies
Groups use protocols to determine what is the root problem they hope to solve
Dare to Suck
Groups draft out their ideas together while embracing the mess and disorder!
The Interlude
Session guided by a trained facilitator to help groups organize and synthesize plans
Prepare for Take Off
Community event planned by group that has some aim at solving their identified problem

Hi there, I'm Mannikka!
At a young age I was involved with service. My journey began when I became apart of the missionary group that delivered meals to church members who were bedridden due to illness and age. In my youth, I also attended many retreats that taught me the skills and teachings of service. I took a break from the classroom in 2012, and for two years I was the coordinator of a school wide service learning program in the private sector. During this time I took students on ventures known as "alternative spring break mission trips", I facilitated an international mission trip, and worked with local organization to get students in on going projects within the community. I am passionate about this rewarding work and take great pride in helping students discover their philanthropic path.
